A study by the National Fire Protection Association found that installing a sprinkler systemfire-safety system in your building not only saves lives, but also saves dollars in the event of a fire.

The study found that property damage in hotel fires was 78% less in buildings with sprinklers than in those without sprinklers between 1983 and 1987. The average loss per fire in sprinklered buildings was $2300, compared to $10,300 in non-sprinklered buildings.
